This work attempts to represent the learned material from the DasBender, Bunn, and Rosenberg essays. Thought attentive versus critical thinking being a reinterpretation of Edvard Munch’s 1893 ‘The Scream’. I’ve taken Bunn’s suggestion and presented myself as the artist to say I’m reading the painting as an artist. I grapple with Rosenberg’s essay of making reading a social activity by presenting any ideas in this drawn placard.
I think this art piece is a meta commentary on the relationship of not just reading and writing but of communication and sharing. I’ve learned to embrace creative reuse of learned material. Creativity and socialness is important.
The greatest challenge I have is word minimums, unfortunately I’m quite trite, straight to the point. Assigned word minimums feel like fake pondering of my thoughts for the sake of length and not understanding.
